Colorado Mountain Spice started in 2024, inspired to create spice mixes that feature spicy peppers.
When I look in the spice aisle at the grocery store, there isn't anything that brings real heat. There are so many hot sauce options, but no seasonings. They are amazing, and it is Mountain Spice's goal to create them and offer them to you.
Our Story
I started experimenting with mixing hot spices because I didn't like handling the spicy pepper flakes directly. I was almost always mixing them with other spices, mostly traditional cooking spices, so I started combining them and have really enjoyed the result. Particularly the effect spicy peppers have with salt, it emphasizes both of their natural characteristics. The savory flavor of salt and the taste of the chile for the hot pepper. I have started using these mixes on everything and wanted to share them with others.
